Friends of the ISCA happy spring to all of you. The weather finally seems to be turning our way. Blossoms are out and everything is looking green and lush. Our Annual Meeting in Decatur was fantastic. The Sister Cities organization of Decatur were gracious hosts of our Annual conference. They have a great city and we all enjoyed getting to know a little more about Decatur. The theme of the conference was “Waving the Flags of Friendship”. Brad Cole of the Illinois Municipal League and Pat McDaniel, Decatur City Councilman were guest speakers on Friday evening and Holly Lazzerini Mathur was the Keynote Speaker on Saturday. Two workshops were offered as well.
New Board members were elected at the Annual meeting. Josephine Wittenauer was elected to a second term. Frank Grant-Acquah from Hanover Park was elected to his first three year term and Jay Mathur of Rockford was elected to his first three year term. Congratulations Josephine, Frank and Jay.
We have one three year term open and a one year appointment to fill. If you would be interested in taking on a leadership role at the State level please email me or call me to discuss the possibilities.
We are also looking for a host city for the 2017 ISCA Annual Conference. Please contact me or Adrienne Tongate to discuss conference possibilities.
We know great exchanges and programs are happening out in your communities. Tell us about them.
